DESCRIPTION:Goodrich Square Splash Park Week\n\n	March 18-24\, 2012\n\n	 \n\n	Whereas\, the State Highway 26 Bypass will begin construction in the spring of 2012 and be complete in 2013\; and\n\n	Whereas\, vehicular traffic will change substantially once the bypass is complete\; and\n\n	Whereas\, the Goodrich Square Master Plan was developed and finalized in July 2010 with recommendations to revitalize the Goodrich Square downtown district and the Goodrich Square Steering Committee was formed to guide and implement the recommendations\; and \n\n	Whereas\, the Goodrich Square Steering Committee decided with Council approval their first project would be the development of the Goodrich Square Splash Park in South Goodrich Park in order to start to impact vehicular and pedestrian traffic prior to the completion of the bypass\; and \n\n	Whereas\, the Council directed the Goodrich Square Steering Committee to raise $100\,000 for the project\; and\n\n	Whereas\, the Goodrich Square Steering Committee is having a major fundraising week from March 18-March 24\, 2012\, culminating the Goodrich Square Yearbook Dance on March 24\, 2012.\n\n	Now\, Therefore\, 1\, Mayor Thomas H. Chesmore\, do recognize the week of March 18-24\, 2012\, Goodrich Square Splash Park Week\, and be it further encourages families and area businesses to make donation to the Goodrich Square Splash Park to make the project a reality for Milton.
